Cor Jesu: Lighting Hearts with the Love of Christ...
Cor Jesu’s Youth & Family Nights is returning this September!
Held on the second Friday of each month from September through May, this vibrant ministry began at St. Therese Parish in 2018 through the inspiration of Fr. Matthias Lambrecht, OCD, along with the generous help of dedicated parishioners.
Designed to bring families and young people together for an evening of prayer, fun & fellowship, and formation, Cor Jesu quickly became one of the most fruitful and energizing ministries in our Parish. Like many activities, it was paused during the 2020 pandemic—but we’re thrilled that it resumed in 2024 with the participation of Fr. Robert Elias—and is now growing!
The purpose of youth ministry isn’t just to keep teens “busy”—it’s to nurture their faith, form their hearts, and connect them more deeply with Christ and His Church. Cor Jesu does this by creating a space where families can encounter God together, surrounded by community and supported by joy-filled Catholic teaching.
From Eucharistic Adoration and inspiring talks to games, music, and time to socialize, every Cor Jesu night is designed to help young people know they are loved by God and called to be saints. Families who participate often discover renewed communication, stronger bonds, and a deeper sense of purpose in their domestic Church.
Join us this year as we continue the mission—building a culture of faith, joy, and love in our Parish. We invite all families with youth in middle school through high school to take part. You don’t have to have all the answers—just an open heart and a desire to grow. Cor Jesu is here to help the flame of Christ’s love burn brightly in the next generation.
