Cor Jesu is a program which ministers to both our Middle School students and to High School students. It includes a monthly service ministry to the homeless, etc.  We meet on the third of fourth Friday of each month (Discipleship Night) and the following Saturday (Service) of each month.

DISCIPLESHIP NIGHT, Friday, March 22: We will meet in the Hall at 6:00 p.m., for Soup Night. As usual, at 6:30 p.m., we will break into separate groups (high school, middle school, parents, children). At 8:15 p.m., we will have a Holy Hour and confessions.

ALL PARISHIONERS are invited to join us at the Holy Hour following the 7:00 p.m. Stations!

CrossWalk HOMELESS MINISTRY, Saturday, March 23, 1:00 p.m.: Youth and young adults and their families are welcome to join us in the Hall to help assemble 200 lunches and 100 toiletry bags AND/OR to assist in distributing them afterwards (we will depart around 2:00 p.m. to distribute these items (in teams!) on Skid Row; youth under 18 must be accompanied by a parent). Please note that we will first evaluate our safety in relation to a Typhus outbreak on Skid Row. If it’s determined we should not go there, the Franciscans will make sure the bags and lunches are delivered.

Toiletry Donations for the Homeless in Skid RowThe Cor Jesu Youth Ministry is seeking donations of toiletries (unopened items in travel sizes) for the homeless! We especially need band-aids, hand sanitizer, tissue, wet wipes, toothbrushes, toothpaste, Chapstick, deodorant, lotion, new socks, water bottles, feminine products and--to package the items--gallon-sized Ziplock bags. Please leave these items in the bins located in the church entry this weekend OR bring to the Hall during our Cor Jesu event on Friday evening, March 22, OR to the School office during open hours the week of March 18 to 22.
