Celebrating the Jubilee Year of Saint John of the Cross

(December 13, 2025 - December 26, 2026)

Dear Parishioners,

Please be aware of an ongoing scam affecting churches across the country, including  Saint  Therese Church. Individuals (usually working from a factory in a Third World country) may contact you via email or text, impersonating one of our clergy or parish staff by using a fake e-mail or phone number (if your info is on our website or bulletin as the contact for a ministry, you have a good chance of being targeted).

If they contact you, they most likely will ask for your help to purchase gift cards or send money. Be assured that NO ONE FROM ST. THERESE CHURCH--CLERGY OR STAFF--WILL EVER ASK YOU TO PURCHASE GIFT CARDS, SEND MONEY, OR PROVIDE PAYMENT INFORMATION IN THIS WAY. If you receive such a request, do not respond. You do not need to inform us if it happens to you, as there is no way for us to stop it from occurring.

Thank you for your vigilance and for helping keep our community safe.

Clicking any of the "flyers" will either enlarge them for easy reading or take you to a related website for more info.

SHROUD OF TURIN PRESENTATION ON 7/17/26

The Shroud of Turin is a sacred linen cloth that bears the image of a crucified man. It is venerated as the possible burial cloth of Jesus Christ, laid in the tomb after His Passion and death. The image on the cloth shows the front and back of a man whose wounds correspond closely to the Gospel accounts of Jesus’ suffering—marks of scourging, punctures from nails in the hands and feet, wounds from a crown of thorns, and a spear wound in His side.

For centuries, the Shroud has inspired devotion and reflection on the Passion of our Lord. While the Church does not require belief in its authenticity, many Catholics do believe that it is the true burial cloth, and they honor it as a powerful testament of  Christ’s immense love and sacrifice for humanity.

At this presentation, replicas of the instruments of Christ’s suffering—the leather whip, crown of thorns, nails, and spear—will be exhibited to help us more deeply understand the reality of His Passion and the depth of His mercy.  SPACE IS LIMITED… EMAIL GRACE TODAY AT HER EMAIL IN THE FLYER BELOW—HIGHLIGHTED IN YELLOW.

"He shows us that the smallest actions done for His Love are those which charm His Heart. If it were necessary to do great things, we should be deserving of pity, but we are happy beyond measure, because Jesus lets Himself be led captive by the smallest action." –St. Therese
