BAPTISM FOR INFANTS /  CHILDREN UNDER 7

For now (due to the pandemic), we are scheduling baptisms FOR PARISHIONERS ONLY by appointment only.  Please fill out a Baptism Info (Registration) form and email it to denisekay@hotmail.com.  Be sure to include a daytime phone number and an e-mail address where we can reach you. 

SELECTING THE GODPARENTS: Canon Law requires you to have at least one *godparent (if you have two, it must be one woman and one man) who: 

     1) is at least 16 years of age; 

     2) has received the Sacrament of Confirmation; and 

     3) is a practicing Catholic. 

*To verify the above three facts, each godparent must have signed by a priest from their parish a GODPARENT RECOMMENDATION FORM. Please download, fill out, have signed and sealed by a priest, and return it to us with the registration form.

REQUIREMENTS:  In order to take part in our Baptism Program, BOTH PARENTS AND GODPARENTS are required to: (please note that any instruction that has been struck out (like these words) is not applicable during the pandemic.

  • Attend a Baptism Preparation Class (unless proof is presented that a baptism preparation class was attended in the last 12 months).

FEES: There is a fee of $75 for the baptism, payable to the church. We provide the baptism candle and a holy water bottle. If you wish, you may also give a monetary gift to the celebrant on the day of the baptism.

After completing these requirements, your child will be baptized on a Saturday (normally at 11:00 a.m., but the time is subject to change).  Please note that no classes/Baptisms take place in the month in which Easter falls or in August.  A date will be set for the baptism that will accommodate both your schedule and the priest's schedule.

CLASS & BAPTISM DATES The classes are held in the Parish Library in the Parish Center (upstairs in the two-story building just east of the church) from 7:30 to 9:00 p.m. once a month. Check the calendar on this website for upcoming dates OR click here (X) to see the full schedule. If our class dates do not fit into your schedule, you may attend a class in another church.  Just obtain proof of your attendance and bring or send it to the office before the Baptism. NOTE: No classes for the present time.

BAPTISM REGISTRATIONTo register for the class, email Fr. David Guzman at davidguzman@live.com and just let him know that you will be coming (leave your full name and your best contact phone number).

LATIN RITE (EXTRAORDINARY FORM) BAPTISM:  If you attend the Latin Mass and would like your child to be baptized in the extraordinary form, click here (X) to download the Latin REGISTRATION FORM. You still need to attend the class but you will have to talk with Fr. Justin Ramos after he celebrates the Latin Mass at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday in order to schedule the baptism.
